An Overview of the Retail Division of Our Company

SymbiQuest was formed as a place for sellers to market items and as a network for sellers to share experiences and learn from each other.

The following is the transcript from a video presented by Ed Mueller who is an owner of SymbiQuest and Sonoma County Sales, Inc.

Hi, my name is Ed Mueller and I’d like to tell you some things about the company that my wife, Danise and I run here in Rohnert Park, California. We buy and sell pretty much anything as long as it’s legal and it’s not tied down. We purchase our items in many places: online auctions, offline auctions, estate liquidations, business liquidations, garage sales, estate sales, even an occasional thrift shop.

We assess the items and purchase them if we see they can most likely obtain the profit that we’re looking for. During this assessment, we take in consideration several factors: the cost of the item versus what we think the retail value is, the estimated time the item will take to sell, and the space the item will take to store.

We have warehouses here in Rohnert Park, as well as our main offices here. We store items until they sell, and then we ship them out or the customer comes and picks it up.

We sell on several platforms — Craigslist, eBay, Etsy, Poshmark, Facebook, etcetera. We choose the platforms used for each item, to get the most optimal exposure and money for them.

We also offer classes and mentoring opportunities. Sometimes we charge for our time, but most of the time we offer it at no cost. If someone asks us for some advice on selling, we’re certainly not going to charge for that.

If you are looking to buy something, you might want to give us a call or email. We have over 5000 items in inventory, so there’s a good chance we will have it or something very similar. Plus, our prices are very competitive, so it might be worth reaching out.

If you want to sell something, we will certainly at the least guide you on how to sell it. Most of the time, it’s not in your best interest for us to buy your item because we won’t pay nearly as much as you would be able to get by selling it yourself. With that, we are more than happy to guide you and give you some pointers for you to get a good price for it. And, if it’s a higher dollar item, we will consider consigning it for you – our consignment rates are very reasonable.
